紫陽花の花がその合図。

”あかねさす昼は言痛し紫陽花の花のよひらに逢ひ見てしがな”

〜詠み人しらず「古今和歌六帖」

平安時代に詠まれた歌ですが、作者は不明のものです。

訳は、

昼は人目に触れる（噂される）のが嫌なので、紫陽花のよひら（4枚の花びらの意）の「よ」

を「宵」に掛けて、夜に会いたいのです、と歌ったものです。

短い歌でたくさんの背景が見えてきてとても面白い歌だなと思いました。

この作者はもしかして、昼間に会えないような関係性で、後ろめたい恋をしていたのかなと想像が膨らみます。
そういった恋はなかなかにうまくいくことは稀なものですから、
この絵には、飛び立ってしまう蝶を暗喩した胡蝶蘭を持たせました。

つまりはそういうことなのです。

「宵の花」には花火の意味があり、服の模様は花火をイメージしたものをデザインしました。背景も同系色にまとめたのは、夜に紛れた印象を与えたかったからです。

左手の中指にリングをつけるのは人間関係の向上を願っています。

本当は薬指に着けたい気持ちがありますが、公に出来ない関係でしょうから薬指には着けられません。この関係の発展を願っていますが、あまりうまくはいっていないのでしょう。

自然界では青い花というのはとても希少で、28万の被子植物のうちおよそ10％以下と言われています。これもすごく面白いですよね、美味しくなさそうな色だからかな？

昨今、科学の力で生み出された青い薔薇の花言葉が「不可能」から「夢叶う」になったのは記憶に新しいですね。

彼女の恋は叶わなくても、彼女の幸せを願わずにはいられないのです。

古今和歌六帖【Kokin waka roku jo】Author Unknown

The poem was composed in the Heian period (794-1185), but its author is unknown.

I don’t want to be in the public eye (or rumored) during the day.

Hydrangea has four petals.
The number 4 is read as “yo” in Japanese.
Night is also called “Yoi”.
The song is sung by multiplying “yo” with “Yoi” to express the desire to see each other at night.

I thought it was a very interesting song, revealing a lot of background in a short song.

I imagine that this author may have been in a relationship where they could not see each other during the day and were in a guilty love.
That kind of love is not easy to make work.
In this painting, I had her hold a Phalaenopsis orchid as a metaphor for him flying away somewhere.

In other words, her love is fruitless.

Yoi-no-hana” means fireworks, and the pattern on the clothing was designed to resemble fireworks. The background was also in the same color because I wanted to give the impression of blending into the night.
